After you have finished Tafsir ibn Katheer, I would suggest starting Maarif al Quran by Mufti Shafi Uthmani of Karachi. Written specifically for the layman, this tafseer has more detail than Tafseer ibn Katheer without involving scholarly details and debates.
Another beneficial part of this tafseer is that it also lists the fiqh derived from ayaat so we can apply the Quran in our daily life and not limit our selves to just reading it.
This tafseer has been translated in many different languages and is easily available in many countries.
