I have added tafseer notes till surah al-Lail.
Each and every word of Allah’s book has got more meaning and wisdom than we can ever comprehend. And as I was going through the notes of Surah al-Balad, Surah al-Shams and Surah al-Lail again to edit them (so anyone other than myself can read them 😊) I realized how much these surahs teach us. And console us.
These are the surahs of opposites. Of light versus darkness, of high versus low, of right versus wrong, of temptation versus righteousness. In short, these surahs are about human struggle in the way of Allah.
These are about taking the right path rather than the easy one. About climbing the cliff called Sirat-al-Mustaqeem, with tips to help us along the way, and warnings about the slippery patches. They contain the case studies of those who succeeded in the climb and the case studies of those who let themselves fall. And they tell us what awaits us at the top of the summit and at the bottom of the ditch.
Even if you haven’t read any other notes I have shared, I encourage you to read the tafseer of these surahs and then read my accompanying notes. I am sure you will find them as beneficial as I did.
سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك نشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت نستغفرك ونتوب إليك
