بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
When I studied history of English literature back in late 90s, I got very much interested in the English (British) theatrical productions. Everything from pantomimes to musicals to Shakespearean plays interested me. While watching them or analyzing them with my teacher and friends, I thought that the Evil in these productions always had to make a show. Clouds of smoke in a pantomime, impressive lighting in a play and hypnotizing music in a musical, all exuded infernal powers of evil.
Fast forward 16 years and although I do not watch theatre or musicals anymore (Allah has guided me Walhamdulillah) I still believe that evil does make a show.
By Allah , We did certainly send [messengers] to nations before you, but Satan made their deeds attractive to them. And he is the disbelievers’ ally today [as well], and they will have a painful punishment.

Evil is, necessarily, always more impressive than good. It has to make a grand entrance! It has to startle and challenge! It is instability attacking stability. And although stability will always win in the end, Shaitan is going to beautify and adorn the evil otherwise who is going to buy him?
Who would want to give away the reward for a whole day or a whole month of fasting in extreme heat to someone they disliked? So Shaitan has to create a spotlight on that single moment of fun in which we mock the person we dislike. And we get so much engrossed in that one moment that we can’t see what is happening outside that narrow beam of light.
He is a clever stage director, this rejected one!
So next time Shaitan presents you with some evil, look hard. Think hard and you will be able to see through the haze of purple smoke, past the effect of clever lighting and beyond the hum of hypnotizing music. You will be able to discern that the Demon King is, in reality, just a man, looking silly, dressed in red tights.
سبحانك اللهم و بحمدك نشهد ان لااله الّا انت نستغفرك و نتوب اليك
